CDM Regulations 2015

​

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 place specific health and safety responsibilities on everyone involved in a construction project.

​

For domestic projects, the Principal Contractor is generally responsible for managing health and safety on site. This includes coordinating contractors, ensuring suitable risk assessments are carried out, maintaining a safe working environment and complying with all relevant health and safety legislation, including COSHH regulations.

Where required, KHA can advise clients on their responsibilities during the design and planning stages and work alongside the appointed Principal Designer and Principal Contractor throughout the project.

Planning Advice

​

Most building projects require planning permission, although the type of application depends on the nature of the proposed development.

​

As a guide:

• Most planning applications are determined within approximately 8 weeks, although larger or more complex schemes may take longer.

• Listed Buildings and properties within Conservation Areas often require additional permissions and supporting documentation.

• We will advise you on the permissions required and manage the application process on your behalf.
